ONE of the drivers involved in a crash on the A590 has been discharged from hospital.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the crash near Backbarrow at around 5.50pm on Monday, July 22.

The collision involved a grey Seat Ibiza driven by a man, 20, and a black Mercedes EQC 400, driven by a man aged 45.

The Seat driver sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital by air ambulance and was said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

The Mercedes driver received hospital treatment before subsequently being discharged.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision, saw the cars being driven immediately before – or anyone who may have daschcam footage related to the incident.
