NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to four South Cumbria establishments.
Inspectors from Westmorland and Furness were busy rating eateries, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
The following ratings have been given to three restaurants, cafes or canteens:
• Rated 5: Barrow and District Disability Association at 71-77 School Street, Barrow-In-Furness; rated on June 27
• Rated 5: Walney Community Trust at Spring Mount Walney, Amphitrite Street Walney, Barrow-In-Furness; rated on April 24
• Rated 4: Billys Barr & Restaurant at Spruce House, North Lonsdale Road, Ambleside; rated on June 14
And one rating has been handed to a pub, bar or nightclub:
• Rated 5: Broadway Square Sports Bar at Basement, 45-53 Cavendish Street, Barrow-In-Furness, Cumbria; rated on July 5
Ratings are a snapshot of the standards of food hygiene found at the time of inspection.
It is the responsibility of the business to comply with food hygiene laws at all times.
