A restaurant in the Lake District has been included in this year's Good Food Guide top 100 for the UK.
The updated list was revealed today [Wednesday, July 24] in what has become a hotly anticipated moment every year on the food calendar.
Out of the 100, 13 local restaurants were chosen to represent the northwest, with The Yan at Broadrayne the sole inclusion from Cumbria.

Based in Grasmere, this is not the first time that The Yan has tasted success.
Just last year, The Yan - which opened its doors the first time in 2019 - was also included in the top 100, meaning it has been another 12 months of consolidation and success for the business.
Introducing The Yan in the Guide, it said: "From fell to table in just a few steps. Perfect – especially when this informal, family-run 'bistro with beds' offers the warmest of welcomes and reliably hearty, wholesome food. The place draws hikers fresh from the surrounding peaks and Grasmere tourists from down the road.
"They come here for Morecambe Bay shrimp sliders (with pickled red onion and a lush garlic/saffron/lemon mayo), sensational Herdwick lamb shepherd’s pie, and beef shin stew – cooked low and slow, and topped with beef-suet dumplings."
Previously an independent hostel, The Yan came to life when Dave and Sally Keighley bought Broadrayne Farm in 2012.
That family dynamic is a crucial part of what the restaurant offers, with Georgina Keighley-King the current Operations Director.
This year, an unprecedented 60,000 votes were cast to create the Good Food Guide 2024, with a team of expert inspectors travelling across the country to eat at every nominee.
Bavette in Horsforth, Leeds, has been crowned Britain’s Best Local Restaurant, while Cibus of Levenshulme was named the best the northwest offers.
