Dozens of properties across Cumbria went under the hammer this week.

Here’s what happened to homes that were sold successfully.

Auction House Cumbria held an event on Thursday July 18 at The Halston Hotel on Warwick Road in Carlisle.

Lot five was house number 71 on Duddon Road, Askam-in-Furness, which appeared at auction with a guide price of £95,000.

This ‘spacious’ three bed, terrace property was described as ‘requiring modernisation.

It is only a short distance from the beach and is situated close to range of amenities, including the local train station and schools.

The ground floor accommodation includes a vestibule, entrance hall, lounge, dining room and a shower room at the rear.

There are three bedrooms on the first floor, plus a front forecourt and a rear yard outside.

The property sold for £106,000.

 

Lot seven was house number 72 on Wellington Street, in Millom, which appeared at auction with a guide price of £30,000.

The ground floor accommodation includes a vestibule, which joins an open plan, combined lounge and dining room, plus a kitchen and bathroom.

There are three bedrooms on the first floor and a yard outside the back of the building.

This property sold for £34,000.

 

Lot 27 was Styall Side on The Green in Millom, which appeared at auction with a guide price of £95,000.

As well as a house, this detached, ‘derelict’ property also includes two barns and a garden area.

The property is described as being ‘not for the faint hearted’ as well as a ‘unique opportunity’ for a new owner to make into a fantastic family home.

Enjoying a sought-after village location, the accommodation includes a hall, lounge, living room, kitchen and two bedrooms as well as a bathroom.

This property sold for £102,000.

 

Lot 31 was Esk Villa, on Tilberthwaite Avenue in Coniston, which appeared at auction with a guide price of £250,000.

This mixed-use commercial property features accommodation above and is located in a popular village at the heart of the Lake District.

A former bistro, the property is described as being in ‘good condition’ with a commercial kitchen and prep room, bar, two dining areas and customer WC's.

There is also a covered courtyard and parking to the rear of the property.

This property sold for £274,000.
