Cumbria's PHX Training has received a 'Good' grading in every aspect by Ofsted, the educational watchdog.

With centres in Barrow, Carlisle and Workington, PHX recently celebrated its 20th year in providing comprehensive training across a spectrum of areas, including behavioural attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, along with adult learning programmes.

The Ofsted inspectors lauded their efforts, noting the motivating ambiance which allows many trainees to push through their educational anxieties and learning blocks.

Beyond just professional learning, the training provider has been praised for facilitating the growth of social, communication and life skills among trainees.

PHX tutors employ a variety of techniques such as Q&A sessions, worksheets, and flash quizzes to assist learners.

They also offer one-on-one sessions, helping those who grapple with certain subjects or those who fall behind their peers.

In its two decades, PHX Training has emerged as a specialist skills provider, guiding learners towards success with personal coaching and mentoring.

They've supported over twenty thousand individuals, delivering more than eleven thousand qualifications.

PHX Training also assists job seekers by crafting bespoke training procedure and providing career counselling.

They offer free access to essential technology like computers and printers, workshops for CV writing and interview preparation, and connections with local recruiters looking to hire.

Operating seven centres across Barrow, Blackpool, Blackburn, Carlisle, Workington, Morecambe and Preston, a group of dedicated trainers offer an array of resources, both offline and online, in conjunction with face-to-face services.

Also known as the Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills, Ofsted is responsible for inspecting and regulating organisations which strive for excellence in children and young adults' wellbeing, education, and skill acquisition.

Briony Fawcett, manging director at PHX Training, said: "This is the first full Ofsted inspection we have had across the organisation because of our Ofsted-regulated work so we’re thrilled to reach these standards across all of our offices.

"Our aim is to continually raise the bar in training for those who need it at all relevant levels to help fill the skills gaps and help our communities in which we operate."
