A Cumbria Police officer is facing dismissal over allegations of sharing confidential information relating to policing operations.
Special Constable Alex De Freitas is accused of sharing data related to an operational policing matter without a 'policing purpose' on two occasions on October 6, 2023.
Both instances are reported to be within two minutes of each other.
The actions, if proven, would breach standards relating to the authority, regarding confidentiality and orders and instructions.
The actions are said to be so serious that they could "justify dismissal" and are considered as potential gross misconduct.
The case will be heard at Cumbria Police headquarters in Penrith on Thursday, July 25.
