The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra delighted residents in a care home in Furness with a special performance.

The orchestra entertained those living at Parkview Gardens in Dalton.

This came as part of the orchestra's three-year partnership with the area, which has already seen them perform all over the peninsula since its start in January.

A spokesperson from Westmorland and Furness Council, who organised the partnership, said: "The residents were fortunate enough to get a booking with the orchestra due to their busy schedule.

"They thoroughly enjoyed the performance and look forward to a second visit in the future."

Parkview Gardens is a residential home for older adults living with dementia, sensory impairment and physical disabilities.

The orchestra has already made a name for itself in the area thanks to its dementia-friendly performances, along with pop-up chamber music concerts and music-making events for children.
