A summer beach clean to help keep our oceans litter-free is taking place on Walney.
A beach cleaning event is set to take place at The Round House hub from 1.30pm until 3.30pm on Saturday August 31.
In the Round House, people will be shown examples of litter. There will then be a five-minute walk to the beach where, with the help of their guides, people will search for litter on the shore.
A spokesperson for the event said: "Thousands of marine animals die each year from being tangled or ingesting litter and plastic. Help us fight against pollution by cleaning up the beach.
"Help clean up our coasts by taking part in a beach clean. All equipment is provided and there are prizes to be won."
This event is suitable for all ages. No prior knowledge is required and it is free of charge.
