A distillery is offering bookable tours that take visitors behind the scenes.
Set in the heart of the Lake District, Grasmere Distillery sits alongside Grasmere Brewery and first launched in 2021.
The first of its grain-to-glass spirits were released in 2022, including vodka and gin made from scratch.
Grasmere Distillery is one of a few independent distilleries in the region that manufactures its own base spirits, thanks to the expertise of founder Paul Abbott.
By 2024, the distillery had expanded its product range to include English single malt whisky through the introduction of a 'founders club'.
Mr Abbott and his team created small-scale exotic cask seasonings that resemble the Bourbon formats seen in America, but are distinct as they reflect the character of the beer from which the spirit is made.
Visitors interested in learning more about Grasmere's production process, which involves creating spirits like Grasmere Sugar Beet Vodka and Grasmere Dry Gin, can now book a tour.
The tours, conducted by Mr Abbott, take visitors through the different stages of the distillation process over the course of an hour.
The tour starts with a gin and vodka tasting at The Good Sport, the brewery and distillery's tap room, before moving to the distillery proper, situated on the banks of Grasmere.
At the distillery, Mr Abbott presents a closer look at the brewing, distilling, and bottling processes.
Tours run throughout the year at 2pm.
All slots must be booked in advance at a cost of £25 per person.
Mr Abbott said: "We’re really excited to be able to show visitors a little of what we do day to day.
"We are a 100% grain-to-glass, family-owned distillery in the heart of the Lake District and powered 100% by renewable energy.
"I do all the tours myself and always will.
"It's a great opportunity for me to share our future plans, especially as we develop and refine our Grasmere whisky, which we are laying down now in casks for maturation."
Parties of two to ten people can book their place by visiting https://www.grasmeredistillery.com/tours/.
For groups larger than ten, a private tour can be arranged by contacting Mr Abbott directly on (+44) 7840 059561.
