A group in Furness has supported a Barrow school's efforts to cater for its children with special needs.
Members of the Rotary Club of Furness visited St Pius X Catholic Primary School on Schneider Road.
The school's headteacher Kevin McGoldrick spoke with the club last year, inspiring the recent donation of £500.
A spokesperson from the club said: "Kevin had visited us and told us about the Nurture Nest and how vital it is to the school, and so we agreed to support it in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Furness Peninsula.
"We will also be seeking funding support for the project from our district, Rotary District 1190 Cumbria and Lancashire."
The Nurture Nest is a place at the school specifically designed for children with special educational needs and disabilities.
With Mr McGoldrick discussing 'ever shrinking budgets', the rotary club saw fit to lend a helping hand that will go towards the continuing management of the site.
