Residents in Barrow will have the chance to share how they think Barrow should be improved.

As part of Westmorland and Furness Council's 'Local Plan', a public event is being held at The Forum on Tuesday, July 16 between 10am and 4pm.

Locals will be asked their opinions on such matters as making the area healthier, how young people and families can be helped, and what they currently like about the place they live in.

The new Local Plan will replace all previous iterations adopted by the former councils.

This initiative will cover how much further development is needed in Barrow and the ideal places to make said development most worthwhile.

The council is using the summer months to kickstart the conversation over how to take Barrow forward across the next 20 years.
