A NEW banking hub has officially opened its doors.
In April, former MP for Barrow and Furness Simon Fell announced that Ulverston's new banking hub would be located at 1-3 Market Street.
The second hub to open in Cumbria opened its doors on Friday.

The hub is a collaboration between the Post Office, UK’s banks, Cash Access UK and Ulverston Post Office.
On a social media post, Ulverston Post Office said the office was looking 'absolutely fantastic'
"We can’t wait to share it with you all," said the Post Office.
People will be able to access a full counter service provided by Ulverston Post Office.
Services will include cash withdrawals, cash deposits, balance enquiries, cheque deposits, business banking, pay bills, gas, electricity and mobile phone top-ups.
In addition to this, a community banker will be available each day to provide face-to-face banking services.
On Monday services will be for NatWest users, Tuesday for Lloyds, Wednesday for HSBC, Thursday for Santander and Friday for Barclays.
The social media post added: "Please note. Counter service is available for everyone, every day even if it is not your bank’s day to be present.
"Normal service will remain in Ulverston Post Office where it’s business as usual - you can still do your Banking in the Post Office.
"No postal services are available in the Banking Hub.
"We are very excited to be able to bring this service to our lovely town, please share our good news."
At the time of the opening announcement, Mr Fell called it a 'massive step forward' adding that he was 'glad' to have got it over the line.
The new banking hub follows the closure of high street bank branches. Lloyds Banking Group announced last year that it will close 123 of its UK branches in 2024 - including the Ulverston branch on July 16.
Around 1,600 jobs will be cut across its network as part of a shift towards online banking.
HSBC, Barclays, Natwest and Santander have also closed in the last eight years.
