Maintenance work in Barrow is expected to last for over 100 days once it begins next week.
Cadent informed residents living around Dalton Lane that they will be working on the gas mains from Monday July 15 for approximately 15 weeks.
The company explained that there is 'likely to be some disruption' due to the use of heavy machinery, barriers, and cones.
They added: "We do not anticipate affecting any gas supplies - if this changes, we will be liaising with customers individually to discuss the work.
"We will have multiple temporary traffic lights in place throughout the duration of the works on Dalton Lane, the location of these will change as works progress.
"Bus stops within the immediate vicinity of the works will be temporarily closed."
