A SECTION of Morrisons in Barrow has reopened after an engineer suffered an electrical burn carrying out 'energy-saving work'.
The Mail understands that the ambient (non-chilled) section of the store is now open and fresh food will be brought through tonight (Thursday) and into tomorrow to replenish Morrisons.
The superstore on The Strand had been closed due to no power since Monday. Two contractors had been working in an electrical supply room and were taken to hospital at 10.39pm on Sunday.
One was assisted from the building by firefighters and paramedics and the other was taken as a precautionary measure. Fire crews from Barrow and Walney then made the area safe and ventilated smoke from the room.
