Dancers took to the stage for their Summer Show at The Forum Theatre in Barrow.
Around a hundred members of Kreativ Dance came together to perform the show, called ‘The Final Bow’, in tribute to dance teacher Lewis Campbell-Smith, who took to the stage for one last performance after 32 years of dancing.
The show featured many different routines and choreography from much-loved musicals like Wicked and Moulin Rouge to some of Lewis’ favourite songs before ending with a country-style finale.
Lewis said this year had been ‘harder than ever’ and he could not be more proud of the team.
He said the show would not have been possible without their support as he faced hospital visits, trips to the doctors, blood and respiratory tests.
Everyone at Kreativ Dance worked hard over the last four months to put the show together.
Lewis said: “Seeing you all grow in confidence, challenge and push yourselves to be the best you can be is why we do it, and over the last couple of nights gave us all so much pride in you all.
“I would like to thank all my parents and dancers for your support - it really makes all the stress we go through worth it.”
The dance school also presented the awards for the year.
Lily Fermoyle, from the age seven to nine class, was announced ‘Most Improved’ while adult dancer, Teyen McGoldrick was presented with ‘Most Entertaining’.
Head Chaperone for the event Rachael Kent was given the ‘Dance Teachers’ award, and dance mum Jessica Seddon was awarded ‘I am what I am’.
Mark and Sue from Lazerlightsalive provided special effects for the stage performance while professional photographer Mary Borgia captured the show on camera.
