Prom season for South Cumbria is well under way as Year Eleven students celebrate the end of their exams.

On Wednesday June 26, fifty pupils from Chetwynde School in Barrow celebrated their prom at Abbey House Hotel.

Headteacher Steve Jefferson said: “It was a fantastic event and a fitting way for the Class of 2024 to celebrate the end of school, especially with some of them having been with us since kindergarten.

"The staff ensured it was a memorable occasion for our Year 11s who have worked hard for their exams and are now moving on to the next chapter of their lives, whether it’s college, apprenticeships or employment, with the benefit of a Chetwynde education behind them.”
