BOSSES of a family-run trekking centre are ‘utterly thrilled’ to have been awarded a TripAdvisor award for consistently receiving excellent customer feedback.
Fell Pony Adventures, in Windermere, found out they had won a TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Award for consistently earning great reviews on July 3.
The award places the business in the top ten per cent of listings around the world on TripAdvisor.
The business specialises in taking families and groups on day-long and multi-day wild camping treks to hidden corners of the Lake District with their herd of native Fell ponies which their family has bred since 1957.
Business owner Tom Lloyd said: “We are utterly thrilled and very proud to have been awarded with this award. What a journey these last few years have been. We’ve met some amazing people and created so many memories.
“We are so proud of our ponies and everyone who has worked with us and helped us along the way. Thank you all so much. Here’s to many more journeys and memories being made.”
The TripAdvisor Travellers Choice Award is based on genuine feedback from anyone in the community who has visited and left first-hand reviews on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period.
Fell Pony Adventures currently has 22 five-star reviews on TripAdvisor and is considered to be one of the best outdoor activities in the area.
John Boris, chief growth officer at TripAdvisor, congratulated the business on the award.
He said: “Travelers’ Choice honours businesses that consistently demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence. This means you have made such a memorable impact on your visitors that many of them took the time to go online and leave a great review about their experience.
“People rely on TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice seal to help them navigate the myriad of things to see, eat and do across the globe.
“We hope this recognition continues to drive business to you in 2024 and beyond.”
