Ford Park in Ulverston has announced an important date change for one of its upcoming events.
The highly anticipated dog show has been postponed for three months.
‘Bark in the Park’ was originally scheduled to take place this weekend, on Sunday July 7, starting at 11am.
The event will now be held on Saturday October 5.
The competition includes eight paw-some categories such as Puppy Love for dogs under a year old, Prettiest Pooch for the girls and Most Handsome for the boys, plus Best Trick and Old Timer.
Dogs can also compete for Best Dressed, Waggiest Tail and Dog Most Like its Owner, while Best in Show will be awarded to the top dog overall.
With only 20 places per category, booking is essential.
Tthe day will be structured as follows:
11am - Puppy Love (under one)
11.30am - Best Dressed
12pm - Prettiest Pooch (girls)
12.30pm - Most Handsome Boy
1pm - Waggiest Tail
1.30pm - Best Trick
2pm - Old Timer
2.30pm - Dog most like its Owner
Best in Show will be announced at 3.15pm
