A series of special health and wellbeing yoga sessions will take place at Levens Hall and Gardens this summer.
Set amidst the stunning Elizabethan property in the Lake District, which houses the world’s oldest topiary garden, the events are ideal for both enthusiasts and beginners.
The 75-minute sessions kick off at 9.15am on the CedarLawn, surrounded by nature and the fresh air of Cumbria.
The classes are led by Carol Downing and Karen Newis, founders of Bliss Organics.
The yoga duo adjusts the program to suit the proficiency level of each participant and can accommodate up to 16 people per session, ensuring intimacy and attention.
Both Ms Downing and Ms Newis vouch for the transformative power of nature and the significance of biophilia—the innate bond we share with nature and other living beings.
They believe that indulging in this instinct fuels positivity, curbs anxiety, anger, fear, and improves mood, creativity, and concentration.
Even in poor weather, the yoga sessions continue indoors.
Participants won't be bereft of the connection with nature as each session offers a complimentary visit to the gardens.
Witness the marvel of the world’s oldest topiary garden with over 100 trees, some aged over 300 years.
The £25 ticket also entitles you to enjoy coffee and cake in Levens Kitchen post-session with an opportunity to engage and build connections.
A participant recently shared their experience: "My daughter and I really enjoyed it.
"It was so good to be outside and hear the birds and all the other sounds of nature and we also appreciated the coffee and delicious cakes and the opportunity to chat to the other ladies.
"We had a nice wander round the gardens too, which was delightful."
Chloe De Nazelle, fiancée to the owner of Levens Hall, and the inspiration behind the incorporation of yoga sessions at the venue, said: "Yoga has numerous health benefits, whilst being out amongst nature has been proven to improve our mental wellbeing.
"By bringing the two elements together and building a connectedness with nature, we are creating experiences filled with joy and uplifting moments of blissfulness."
Join all three women on July 5 and 19, August 16, or September 6 and 20.
Also, keep a lookout for the extension of the wellbeing program introducing Kundalini yoga, sound therapy, and shamanic healing, including sessions inside the hall during the colder seasons.
