A MOTORIST who seriously injured a man in a collision has appeared in court charged with careless driving.
Konrad Patro admitted causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving after an incident on Park Road in Barrow last week.
South Cumbria Magistrates' Court heard the 31-year-old drove a heavy goods vehicle without reasonable consideration for others using the road.
A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries following the incident.
Patro is due to return to court on July 17.
He has been remanded on bail and handed an interim driving ban until then.
