The fundraiser for Dave Day has surpassed all previous expectations by hitting £100,000, ten times that of the original goal.
Set up on JustGiving by Jason Woodcock, who played an instrumental role in making Dave Day a reality, the fundraiser has been bringing in donations for NSPCC Childline and The Institute of Cancer Research.

When it was first introduced, the organisers of the event aspired to raise a total of £10,000.

However, despite the fact that celebrations took place at the start of the month of June 8, it was revealed earlier this week that the figure had finally ticked past the £100,000 mark.
This was all done in honour of Dave Myers, who died in February this year at the age of 66.
Thousands of people travelled from London to Barrow to celebrate his life, with the latest success of the fundraiser a sign that that love for the Hairy Biker is still persevering.
