A hospice is doing its part to rehome a dog after its owner died in their care.
St Mary's Hospice in Ulverston was looking after the patient in their final days and, with the person having no friends or family to take on the responsibility, the six-year-old rescue from Romania is now in need of a new home.
At the time of writing, Roundhills Bespoke Boarding Kennels are looking after the well-loved pet but the hospice confirmed that a 'permanent' place to stay was now required.
Following the 'saddest of circumstances', the kennel took to social media to share the plea.
They added that the dog will need vaccinations once sent to its new home, though the kennel reassured potential owners that they would cover the costs of that treatment.
Those interested in taking the dog under their care are urged to contact the kennel by private message via their Facebook page.
