RAIL operator Northern has asked passengers to check before they travel across Cumbria and the rest of the North West this weekend.
Northern also advised it will be unable to run trains or replacement buses along the following routes this coming Sunday:
- Stalybridge - Wigan (via Bolton)
- Colne - Preston
- Clitheroe - Manchester Victoria
- Chester - Manchester Victoria
- Stoke - Manchester Piccadilly
- Lancaster - Morecambe (with the exception of the Leeds - Morecambe services)
A spokesperson said: "We apologise for any disruption this may cause. Please see for further information and refunds."
