A SOUTH Cumbria establishment has been handed a new food hygiene rating.
Grange Over Sands Golf Club on Meathop Road was given a score of four out of five.
The score came after an assessment by Westmorland and Furness inspectors on May 17, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
Hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage was found to be good.
Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control to enable good food hygiene have been rated very good.
The management of food safety was found to be generally satisfactory.
Of Westmorland and Furness's 387 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 312 (81%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
