THE estimated times different constituencies in Cumbria are expected to announce their election results has been revealed.

The information was compiled by the PA news agency and is intended to be a guide to when the constituency results are likely to be declared.

All timings are approximate and can be affected by issues such as delays in verifying and counting ballots, or by recounts.

There have been boundary changes at this election, and this means there is considerable uncertainty around some of the timings below.

According to information compiled by the PA news agency the Barrow and Furness, Westmorland and Lonsdale and the Morecambe and Lunesdale constituency results are expected to be declared at 4am.

Following the 2023 review of Westminster Constituencies, the Copeland constituency was abolished and the wards of Millom as well as Black Combe & Scafell will join the Barrow and Furness constituency area.

The MP for Barrow and Furness will represent towns and villages including Barrow, Dalton, Ulverston, Millom, Broughton, Askam and Kirkby in Parliament.

The Westmorland and Lonsdale constituency will see changes to its boundaries at the election.

Previously, the constituency extended down to Kirkby Lonsdale in the south, and up to Rydal and Ambleside in the north.

The new constituency boundaries extend as far north as Milburn Forest, Temple Sowerby, the outskirts of Penrith up to the A66 and Hutton Roof. Kirkby Stephen, Appleby and Greystoke will also be moved into Westmorland and Lonsdale.

Burton, Kirkby Lonsdale and Sedbergh will become part of the Morecambe and Lunesdale constituency.

The MP for Westmorland and Lonsdale will represent towns and villages including Kendal, Windermere, Ambleside, Coniston, Staveley, Grange, Cartmel, Bowness, Appleby, Kirkby Stephen and Tebay.

Standing for election in Westmorland and Lonsdale are Phil Clayton (Green Party), Tim Farron (Liberal Democrats), Matty Jackman (Conservative Party), Pippa Smith (Labour Party), Izzy Solabarrieta (Heritage Party), John Studholme (Independent), James Townley (Reform UK) and Wendy Long (Social Democratic Party).

In Barrow and Furness, the candidates are Simon Fell (Conservative Party), Michelle Scrogham (Labour Party), Barry Morgan (Reform UK), Lisa Morgan (Party Of Women), Adrian Waite (Liberal Democrats) and Lorraine Wrennall (Green Party).

Standing for election in Morecambe and Lunesdale are Barry Parsons (Reform UK), Lizzi Collinge (Labour Party), Gina Dowding (Green Party), Peter Jackson (Liberal Democrats) and David Morris (Conservative Party).

The election will take place on July 4.
