AN annual village gala is set to take place this weekend.
People are being invited to attend the Kirkby-in-Furness gala on Saturday (June 29) at the community centre.
In the marquee, there will be various stalls and exhibits, homemade refreshments, a barbeque and a bar.
Ulverston Town Band will play for visitors while they enjoy welly wanging, ice cream, a bouncy castle and a chocolate fountain.
Ceri Laisby, of the gala committee, said: "Kirkby-in-Furness Gala is one of the best, with something for everyone, and whatever the weather.
"On the field, try your luck at welly wanging, splat the rat, Speed Football, a coconut shy and much more. There is a karate demonstration to watch and the prestigious BOFRA fell races - local entries are welcome with special awards."
All of the proceeds made on Saturday night will go to the Kirkby Community Centre Development Fund and St Mary's Hospice.
The event will run from 2pm until 5pm.
