ROADWORKS are set to be carried out in a Furness village for three days.

A section of Kepplewray Hill from its junction with High Kepplewray near Broughton will be closed while works are being carried out by Westmorland and Furness Council.

The work is anticipated to start on June 26 and take up to three days to complete. The road is set to be closed between 9am and 4pm.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

An alternative route for northwest-bound vehicles can be found via the unrestricted sections of Kepplewray Hill (C5009), A595, Church Street, Griffin Street and Market Street.

An alternative route for southeastbound vehicles can be found via the unrestricted sections of Kepplewray Hill (C5009), Market Street, Station Road, Prince’s Street, Griffin Street, Church Street and the A595.

Access for emergency vehicles will not be maintained for the duration of these works.
