A BARROW man has been fined by a court for failing to report a road traffic accident after driving without due care and attention.
Kristian Dodgson, of Manchester Street, was behind the wheel of his Audi A3 when he caused damage to a Mazda 3 Sport on December 30 last year on Middlefield, a road on a housing estate in Barrow.
The 37-year-old admitted he had failed to report the accident at a police station or to a constable as within 24 hours of the accident.
He also confessed to driving his vehicle without due care and attention when the collision occurred.
The damage to the complainant’s Mazda was not listed on court documentation.
As a result of his guilty pleas at the first opportunity, magistrates at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on June 20 endorsed eight penalty points on the defendant’s licence as well as issuing a £120 fine.
Dodgson was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a £48 surcharge.
