PLANS have been lodged to sell alcohol until 5am at a proposed bar in Barrow.
Applicant A.S.H bar limited has applied to Westmorland and Furness Council for a premises licence to cover 57-59 Cavendish Street and another premises licence for 59 Cavendish Street.
The application for 57-59 Cavendish Street refers to a premises called Legacy and the application for 59 Cavendish Street refers to a premises titled Bistro 59.
Another application has been lodged by the same applicant to vary the premises licence for Theatre Bar in light of a change of the layout of the building.
According to licensing documents the applicant has applied for premises licences to allow the sale of alcohol from 10am to 5am every day at both Bistro 59 and Legacy.
This comes after a planning application was lodged by Adam Healey to integrate Theatre Bar, on Cavendish Street in Barrow, with Wrapport.
In a planning document, it states the integration of Theatre Bar and Wrapport would provide an enlarged nightclub, a restaurant, a kitchen and a bar.
According to the plans, the site of the former takeaway will consist of a kitchen area and a ‘chill out’ bar area on the ground floor with a restaurant on the first floor.
Plans submitted also show in the integrated venue there will be a bar on the ground floor of Theatre Bar with a stage area, a general seating area and a V.I.P seating area on the second floor. Toilets will be located in the cellar, the first floor and the fourth floor.
Planning diagrams submitted also show there will be a rooftop terrace consisting of smoking and non-smoking areas on top of the venue.
According to an application form submitted by the applicant, it is proposed there could be 22 full-time employees – currently there are six. It also states there could be 16 part-time employees. There are seven currently, according to planning documents.
Planning diagrams show there will be connecting points between the currently separate properties.
The planning application and the premises licence applications are both under consideration.
