Barrow-born bodybuilder Danny Andrews, aka 'Fish and a Rice Cake guy', has launched his very own product.

After teasing it at the beginning of the month, there was much speculation as to what it would be and if it would be in the same theme as his famous meme.

After appearing on BBC Three’s Baby Face Body Builders documentary in 2007 at 16, a clip of Danny explaining his stringent diet for the upcoming Mr Cumbria bodybuilding competition became an internet sensation.

"Eight o'clock in the morning I'll have fish and a rice cake," he said in the clip, before going into further detail:

"At 10 o'clock, I'll have fish. At 12 o'clock, I'll have fish and a rice cake.

"At two o'clock, I'll have fish. At four o'clock - just before I train - I'll have fish and a rice cake. I'll train, I'll have me fish.

"I'll come home, have some more fish, with a rice cake, and then have some more fish before I go to bed."

The 33-year-old entrepreneur, who now runs a successful barber shop in Fulwood, Preston, has launched his very own protein rice cake.

The fun packaging pays tribute to the viral meme which features an image of baby-faced Danny thinking about all the times he's going to have a fish and rice cake.

"People always told me that I should do something with it however. The first guy that uploaded the clip on YouTube made £60k and I've never monetised it ever.

"In recent years I've embraced it more and without meaning to, I've put 18 years' worth of marketing into this.

"I thought now is the time to make something out of it that I care about - and other people have made money out of it - all I really made when I was younger was abuse!"

The protein rice cake has 15g of protein and so far comes in two flavours - chocolate and milk chocolate.

Danny said: "It's not just for people who go to the gym, it's for anyone who just wants to be healthy.

"This is all new to me and I'm really excited for people to try it. If people follow my Instagram, they can see the whole journey from the start."

Danny has created a new Instagram account under @dannysrice cakes where followers can get the rice cakes in bundles.

Danny plans to have more flavours and pack options in the future.
