AN AGRICULTURAL show is returning to a village in south Cumbria.
Cartmel Show 2024 will be held in the village of Cartmel on Wednesday (August 7).
The show, at Cartmel Park, will offer a range of family-friendly activities including local food and drink, livestock and horse classes, crafts and village industries.
Visitors will be able to contemplate plenty of vintage tractors and vehicles.
There is also children’s entertainment, a mini zoo, have-a-go areas, a food theatre and shopping.
Dog shows, Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling, mounted fancy dress and brass band and Morris dancing are other activities set to happen on the day.
Cartmel Agricultural Society was formed in 1872 following a meeting at the Cavendish Arms in Cartmel and has run the annual show ever since then.
The event starts at 8.30am and tickets cost £13 per adult, £5 per child from 5 to 18 years old and £30 for a family ticket. Children under 5 are free to enter.
