A new food hygiene rating has been awarded to a Westmorland and Furness establishment, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Rusland Pool Hotel at Haverthwaite was given a rating of five on May 23.
This means food inspectors of Westmorland and Furness authority considered the establishment's food hygiene standards 'Very Good'.
The hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage was found to be 'Good'.
Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building (including having appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control) to enable good food hygiene was found to be 'Good'.
Management of food safety, including the system or checks in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in future was also rated 'Good'.
