The bands who performed as part of Dave Day have thanked the public after the event's success.

On Saturday, Barrow celebrated one of its own by honouring the life of Dave Myers following on from his passing at the age of 66 earlier in the year.

The town centre became a hive of music and togetherness as it greeted a convoy of thousands of motorbike riders into south Cumbria.

Outside the town hall, local food vendors accompanied a series of musical performances, alongside appearances from Lili Myers, Si King and Jason Woodcock.

Another Mister, a female trio originating from the south Lakeland area, were one of the acts fortunate enough to be involved in the town centre celebrations.

"It was great to be part of Dave Day," they said afterwards.

"What an atmosphere and show of genuine community spirit - go on Barrow!"

At Barrow Raiders, meanwhile, the Northern Competitions Stadium was transformed into a tribute concert to remember, with 5,000 people packing into the site to be a part of the celebrations.
