SI King and Lili Myers paid emotional tributes to the biking community and the Barrow public at Dave Day.

Taking to the stage outside Barrow Town Hall, Si said: "I don't know where to begin. What a welcome from Barrow. Without you, the day would not have happened. Every single motorcyclist that's come into your community and town - we've all been in tears. Not one dry eye. It's just unbelievable."

Lili said: "I want to thank all the people who made the effort to come today including some from Malaysia.

"The past couple of years have been horrendous. If you know a person who goes through that (cancer) give them a big hug, be their fried, be with them because that counts for a lot."

She said she had brought Dave's 'helmet, goggles, jacket and his love to Barrow'.

"He was always a Barrow lad and very proudly so. He wanted to put Barrow on the map and by god today he did that in a big way," she said.

"I want to thank the biking communities around the country for coming together today and being involved in an event like this.

"Some of them have done hundreds and hundreds of miles to be here in Barrow. "All my respect to them and to Barrow people who have organised this for us. It's beyond imagination.

"Once we got off the motorway people at every corner, every bridge, were celebrating. This is a celebratory day."
