A MAN has been sentenced for possessing prohibited images of a child.
James Crisp, of Ramsden Court in Barrow, was caught in possession of the inappropriate pictures in Kendal on July 25 last year.
The 64-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on May 16 and was sentenced on June 4.
Magistrates imposed a three-year community order as punishment for the offence with requirements for the defendant to complete 80 hours of unpaid work and 35 rehabilitation requirement days.
He was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a £114 surcharge.
