HAIRY Biker Si King has promised a 'smashing' Dave Day.
Thousands of people will make the journey to the hometown of Dave Myers to celebrate the life of the proud Barrovian on Saturday.
Dave's best friend and the second half of the Hairy Bikers will be attending the event and will take to the stage alongside Dave’s widow Liliana when they arrive.
The Hairy Biker said he was ‘really, really looking forward to seeing everybody’ and predicted a ‘great day’.
In the video he posted online, Si thanked everyone for their support, saying: “Be safe and be courteous to one another and we’ll have a smashing day.”
