POLICE have increased patrols after young people were involved in anti-social behaviour.

Cumbria Police said it was raised to them that young people have been involved in anti-social behaviour and taking over parts of the pay park on St George's Road in Millom.

This has also involved riding bikes within the park boundaries with concerns raised about damage to flowers and shrubs.

As a result, the force explained they have increased patrols in the park especially around 4pm to 6pm when young people are using the park.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "We have also been engaging with those in the park and encouraging the appropriate use of areas and equipment, and providing reassurance to both parents and children."
