A number of local food businesses have pledged to support the Dave Day celebrations on Saturday.

With thousands of people coming to Barrow on June 8, it is going to take a gargantuan effort to keep them all well fed.

And, with events happening in the town centre and at Barrow Raiders' Northern Competitions Stadium, vendors will be spread out across the region to support the occasion.

Vendors at the Dave Day Tribute concert:

Coffee D'Ash Uk: The Coffee D'Ash pod will be at the Outdoor Market from 10am serving hot drinks such as coffees, cappuccinos and espressos, as well as cold drinks.

KatVandu Food Truck: Based in Cumbria, specialising in Himalayan and Nepali cuisine. Their menu has vegetarian and vegan options, plus all their curries are gluten free.

Greens Pies: A local pie shop once featured in the Hairy Biker's 'The Ultimate Pie Bible', gaining a reputation as one of the duo's favourite places to eat.

Lake District Farmers: Founded in 2009, they will be serving a hog roast on the day.

Go Nuts: Providing a whole host of donuts to keep the sweet tooth of all visitors satisfied. 

Southward's Farmshop and Southwards takeaway: A family run farm shop in Cumbria who will be serving chicken wraps & loaded fries, with gluten free and vegetarian options also available.

Roy's Ices: Some of the most popular ice creams in the region, serving a loyal customer base from its usual spot on Bardsea Beach in Ulverston.

The rugby club catering will also be doing burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, chips, filled jacket potatoes, and a range of tuckshop snacks

There will also be several drinks options including Routes Bus Bar and Kindred Spirits Cocktails.

Vendors in the town centre:

The Cumbrian Coffee Co: Will be providing over 40 years of catering experience to the event.

McMunchies: A food van specialising in burgers and traditional takeaway options.

The Lake District Lobster and Seafood Company: Established in 2015 when owner Chris Sanders made his passion for fishing into a business 

The Old Smithy chippy van: Whilst the business itself is competing for The Mail's 'Best Chippy 2024' award, the catering team will be out and about in Barrow on Saturday.

The Flavour Trailer: Providing a whole host of different gourmet burgers.

May's Thai Treats: This Barrow-based business will be bringing Asian flavours to Dave Day.

Knife and Sole Ltd: A husband and wife duo who have both been in hospitality for the past 20 years, specialising in fine dining experiences.

Beardy BBQ: Will be hopping over from Walney Island to delight visitors with a range of barbecue favourites.

Purdys Bakehouse: Once the mains are out of the way, this Barrow caterer will be providing all the cakes you could ever need.
