A park in Ulverston has appealed to its visitors to donate just £1 a month.
Ford Park has encouraged people to part with the small amount which would cover all of its costs to use the free space.
A post created on the park's Facebook page today said: "Did you know that it costs around £126,000 a year to run Ford Park as a free community green space?

"If you love the park take a look at our monthly membership and park perks or if that's not for you, then why not make a one off donation and support your local charity run park?"
As a charity run park, Ford Park relies on the support of the local community, visitors, events and grants funding to raise the funds to cover its yearly costs.
A membership is the easiest way to show support for the park and starts from just £3 a month, and comes with ‘Park Perks’.
