A VENUE is changing its name for one day only in honour of The Hairy Biker Dave Myers.
The Meeting Place in Barrow will be renamed to The Myers Place in memory of the Barrovian Dave Myers ahead of the upcoming event on Saturday (June 8).
The venue will host live music and food where a percentage of proceedings will be donated to NSPCC Childline and The Institute for Cancer Research - the two chosen charities that are benefitting from the upcoming Dave Day.
Gary Wood, the owner of the Meeting Place, explained they wanted to 'add to the day' and 'commemorate Dave'.

He said: "Barrow took him under their wing and loved seeing him on the TV and always supported him.
"He has always been a nice guy. He has always had time for people."
The food served from 12pm to 5pm will include specials from The Hairy Bikers Cookbook, including some of the fans' favourites such as the Syrian-inspired flatbread Lamb sfiha and a vegetarian Thai green curry.
Live music starts after 5pm and it is free of charge with performances from local acts Mosaic Arcade and The Gears.
"The Gears are very talented and up-and-coming musicians and I am sure Dave would appreciate that we are supporting a younger band," said Mr Wood.

"Mosaic Arcade play a good mixture of music to appeal to all different people and crowds. They are all well-known musicians in the town."
"A lot of people will want to continue after the Rugby concert. We are just up the road so they can obviously pop in and see the live music in our place.
The owner said he 'can't wait' for the event as he foresees it will be the 'busiest day of the year.'
"It is great for the town. It is a great thing to mark and remember Dave Myers. People will remember this for years to come, won't they?" concluded Mr Wood.
