The new season will kick off on October 11 at The Forum as part of Barrow Music Week.

Conducted by Chloe Rooke, the orchestra will perform works by Mozart and Prokofiev.

They will also be joined by Jasdeep Singh Degun and tabla artist Harkiret Bahra, along with Barrow primary school students for a special performance.

The popular Under-5s and Dementia Friendly concerts are also set to return, hosted by presenter Claire Henry.

These events will be held at the Barrow Library on February 1 and January 31 respectively.

Chief conductor, Domingo Hindoyan, will be returning to Barrow on March 21 to guide the orchestra in a Beethoven programme before making an appearance at Barrow's Festival of Colours on March 22 in an event for people of all ages to learn about conducting and orchestral music.

The Liverpool Philharmonic's partnership with Barrow is encouraged by the Arts Council England and is expected to put the orchestra and its musicians at the centre of Barrow’s musical life.

Working jointly with arts and community partners in Barrow, the programme aims to bring about compelling music and education-oriented projects to a broader audience.
