A pub in Barrow will be using pint sales on Saturday to support the chosen Dave Day charities.

Thousands of people are expected to arrived in Cumbria on June 8 to celebrate the life of Dave Myers, with various events taking place across the area.

This influx of visitors will mean the local hospitality sector is set to get a big boost, with The Ship Inn putting this to good use.

The pub, found on Yarlside Road, will be donating 20p for every pint sold on Saturday to charity.

The Dave Day celebrations have been raising money for NSPCC Childline and The Institute of Cancer Research in Dave's memory, with over £16,000 donated so far at the time of writing.

The Ship Inn had previously announced that it would be getting in the Dave Day spirit by providing free food and hot drinks to the bikers travelling from London to Barrow.
