The Barrow Parkrun event this weekend is putting on a twist to its usual agenda for Dave Day.
To get in the spirit of the occasion, those involved have been asked to emulate the spirit of Dave Myers by dressing up in his honour.
The event will happen on Saturday, June 8, the same day that thousands of people will be coming to Barrow to celebrate the life of the Hairy Biker.
The park run organisers said: "We are having a Dave day in memory of Dave Myers to coincide with all the wonderful stuff going on in Barrow this weekend.
"Don your Hawaiian shirts, waistcoats and handlebar moustaches - parkrun is going to be a sight for sore eyes."
The run is a free 5k community event which takes place every Saturday at Barrow Park, though the next edition is sure to be even more special than usual.
