The Roxy Collective is hosting a short film festival at The Roxy Cinema in Ulverston.

Collaborating with The Bay International Film Festival, the event brings Around The Bay Short Film Festival - Stories Beyond Borders to Ulverston.

The festival offers a range of diverse shorts that delve into human experiences and emotions.

Among the films shown will be 'Demon Box', 'Forbidden', and 'Our Males and Females', each offering their own exploration of personal and societal struggles.

Consisting of eight short films from various genres and countries, the festival promises a powerful and thought-provoking cinematic journey for all attendees.

Following the screening, a Q&A will take place with several filmmakers, including Ulverston's own Alice Slater.

This offers a chance for audiences to have one-to-one interaction with the creative minds behind the films.

The festival begins on June 22 at 1pm and tickets are priced at £6 for adults, and £5 for seniors and students.

Tickets can be purchased directly from the Roxy Cinema website.

A spokesman from Roxy Collective said: "We're delighted to be able to team up with The Bay International Film Festival to bring their incredible short film programme to The Roxy and Ulverston.

"We're excited to take this opportunity to help champion these great short films and in particular local animator and filmmaker Alice Slater."
