Police officers stopped 'numerous' people on roads in Furness as part of various speed checks in the region.
Members of the Barrow Neighbourhood Policing Team were prioritising the issue on Thursday, May 30 and Sunday, June 2.
They focused their efforts in the Bridgegate Avenue and Lesh Lane areas of Barrow - as well as on Ireleth Road in Askam-in-Furness.
A spokesperson from Barrow NPT explained the work largely came about through growing concerns of local residents around the issue of speeding.
They said: "Numerous members of the public have been stopped and advised regarding their speed.
"We will continue to visit those areas raised by members of the public and persons responding to these posts to conduct education and enforcement where required."
