DAVE Myers' widow has paid tribute to the people of Barrow in her first TV interview since the death of the Hairy Biker.
Liliana Myers was speaking on Lorraine on ITV on Monday, June 3 as anticipation builds up ahead of Dave Day this Saturday.
June 8 will see thousands of people travel to Barrow to celebrate the life of Dave, with many riding from London to Cumbria in his honour.

Liliana said: "We've had so many friends who have helped with this - just yesterday [Sunday, June 2] at the TT [in the Isle of Man], he was celebrated in the honorary tour.
"I have loads of friends in Barrow-in-Furness who, when we started this idea, they said they were going to take care of this, of that, and they got the ball rolling."
Since that point, Dave Day has grown to be bigger than even Liliana could have first predicted.
"The local authorities picked [it] up and they started making it possible," she explained.
"So Barrow has done us so proud - wonderful people."

Liliana also discussed plans for the motorbike ride, which is expected to see around 10,000 travel from the capital to Barrow.
"I have to thank Woody [Jason Woodcock] for doing that amazingly, he's a master of it," she said.
For Dave Day, the original principle remains the same - honouring the exuberance for life that Dave showed on a daily basis.
"After he passed, I had so many messages from all over the world asking how they could pay respects," she said.
"People loved him and that energy he had always - then the idea came about of doing a motorbike ride in his memory.
"Right after he passed, there was this comment on socials that I picked up on, in that 'Dave' should be synonymous to 'joy' and 'zest for life' - so when we're having a good day we should be saying 'we're having a Dave Day'."
