A RARE six-foot tall teddy bear that was a staple of Special Occasions in Barrow has been sold.
Last year the gift shop on Crellin Street announced it would close after 12 years in business.
Its 'Big Fella' Charlie Bear had drawn families into the store since he was bought by owner Donna Dacre.
A spokesperson from Special Occasions put out an update and said he is 'off to his new home next week.'
The fully jointed bear is reportedly one of only 100 to exist in the world and he is the last of this size to be made by Charlie Bear.
It is not known how much he was sold for or where he will go - but in December the shop said it was looking for offers over the RRP of £2,999. Some shops have listed their bears online for as much as £4,250.
