A WOMAN who stole bottles of perfume from a supermarket has been ordered to complete an alcohol treatment programme.
Kerry McAvoy stole five bottles of perfume from Tesco Extra in Barrow on March 12.
The 41-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence when she appeared before South Cumbria Magistrates' Court.
McAvoy, of Smeaton Street, was sentenced to a community order by magistrates.
Under the order she will have to complete a six-month alcohol treatment programme under the supervision of Recovery Steps.
She was also fined £60 and ordered to pay £300 in prosecution costs.
McAvoy was convicted of shoplifting earlier this year after she stole joints of meat and alcohol products worth £167 from the supermarket, in Hindpool Road, on January 5.
On that occasion she was fined £120 and also ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs.
