The fundraiser being used as part of Dave Day has now gone past its second milestone.

Organisers Jason Woodcock, Dave Myers' widow Liliana Myers and pal Si King previously aspired to raise £10,000 to go alongside the event.

This original target was met towards the end of last month with a new goal of £15,000 set as a result to keep people reaching into their pockets.

And, over the Bank Holiday weekend, the GoFundMe page revealed that those hopes had been answered, with the fundraiser now sitting at £16,131 at the time of writing.

All of the money will be going to the two chosen Dave Day charities, NSPCC Childline and The Institute of Cancer Research.

The event on June 8, which will see thousands of people travel from London to Barrow on their motorbikes, has been created in honour of Myers, who died earlier this year.
