Emergency services attended a road traffic collision involving four cars yesterday (May 27).
The incident happened around 1.25pm on the A590 between Lindal and Swarthmoor.
The road was closed in both directions by Cumbria police with drivers turning off at Little Urswick and Greenodd.
Eyewitnesses reported an overturned pick-up and trailer but luckily no-one was hurt.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "Around 1.25pm a four-vehicle collision was reported on the A590 between Lindal and Swarthmoor.
"There were not believed to be any serious injuries as a result.
"The incident stopped traffic in both directions.
"All vehicles were recovered by around 3.20pm."
